Beautiful song, originally done by obscure British outfit Poet and the One Man Band (which took its name from lyrics to Simon and Garfunkel's 1966 song "Homeward Bound). Ray Smith and Tony Colton, two vocalists in this short-lived group (which included members who formed the folk rock group Fotheringay in 1970 with Sandy Denny, who had recently split with Fairport Convention, as well as guitarist Albert-not-Alvin Lee), were credited as the writers of the song. The song was also covered by Zoot Money (who, among other things, was one of the post-Alan Price keyboardists for The Animals).
