I love this song! Very relaxing guitar and rhythm. The vocals add a nice touch too. I think the song is about two people, and one of them has just confessed their feelings towards the other. However, the other does not share the same feelings as the other person creating an unbalanced shift in their relationship.

The narrator confessed that they have greater feelings towards this other person. Unfortunately, this person does not share these feelings but would rather remain as friends. To be beyond friends "is not how it's supposed to be" and now the relationship is at an imbalance. Almost immediately, the person who confessed their feelings feels their heart drop due to the rejection and the possibility that they messed up their relationship.

After that, things don't seem to go back to normal. The stars falling over symbolizes that the sparkle in the relationship is burning away.
