I feel like this song is a reaction to this era of limitless information and the resulting loss and death of truth because of it. I say this because truths, or more accurately what we perceive to be truth, is endlessly picked apart and construed through bias and opinion and as a result, truth becomes subjective to the individual, thus making truth irrelevant. We, as rational individuals, have a duty to seek out the real truth and sift through all of the unnecessary pollution. Perhaps I'm looking at this much too deeply, but whatever.

My Interpretation

I think that's part of it. Feels a lot like the song is simply written from the point of view of a bit of a desperate nihilist. Religious fanatics are screaming about heaven and hell, scientists are screaming about atheism, politicians are screaming about scandals and solutions and all that the singer knows is the famous Socratean detail that he knows nothing. He knows there's a huge amount of lies and bullshit on each side which is why he is literally asking if anybody out there at all can tell him "something true, preferably something that no one can dispute"....
