Helen Betty Osborne was a 19 year old Cree woman who was stabbed to death with with a screwdriver in The Pas, Manitoba. Osborne was kidnapped and murdered by Dwayne Johnston, James Houghton, Lee Colgan, and Norman Manger, but the investigation and trial were botched and only Johnston was ultimately convicted - he has since been released.
