Cover art for Hände Hoch lyrics by Wir Sind Helden

Not sure if your'e being ironic, but rather not. It's more like a policeman shouting 'Hands up in the air! Surrender!' to a criminal about to be apprehended. Except that the only crime the addressee in the song is guilty of is having an opinion of his own, so the whole thing is in fact rather sad. I've always thought of the song as a reply to Silbermond's 'Meer Sein' ( http://songmeanings.com/songs/view/3530822107858593761/), which had appeared a year before and basically sings the praises of collectivism as an approach to life.
