Valentine Lyrics

For me, this song is all about the sadness that follows unrequited love, as some of the others were saying. This song's lyrics sounds exactly like my high school experiences with having crushes. I would literally lay in my bed for days depressed over a guy not liking me back. I would also like to note that she sings the word 'you' six times during each chorus. This could represent not only the protagonist's love for her subject that goes unrecognized in the favour of another girl, but it could represent her failing each one of her classes (six) as a result of the sadness of just knowing it's someone else he loves instead of her.

My Interpretation

Good summary -- from where do you get the 6 classes inference?

She sings "you" 6 times.

@blownawish, the song is obviously about unrequited love so why dig deeper? I think you're placing your own circumstance into the words of the song. She's quite an adult not so I doubt she'd be thinking of missed classes in relation to her love-life. The "You" part works rhythmically and it doesn't have to be more complicated than that.

My Opinion
