Cover art for Beliefs lyrics by We Came As Romans

For me, I can see the song as someone questioning their faith and being disillusioned with what they've believed all their lives (their religion), only to realize they no longer hold the same view. They are angry with how they've been raised to believe what they do ('who steals my years to keep it to themselves' - parents and others forcing them to believe what they do) because it affects their entire worldveiw ('is it only just the ground we stand upon?'). They then come to the conclusion that, at least, they are not meaningless, even if they no longer believe what they did.
