Many times will we lose a love in our lives. I think the dog who bit the mother represents Buck's own father. His father was an inspiration for much of Buck's songwriting. I was in a bar in Nashville years ago and I ran into Buck's father. I asked him how it felt to be so influential in his son's career, but he was already passed out and didn't answer.
