To me the lyrics have indication of death at farthest extend of personal strength, one with a powerful mind though without power to change his own destiny,... or on a second thought, someone who has let the destiny to take over and is not struggling against the event, not because he has given up or he his weak, the death is his will.
The somehow reminds me of the story death of "Mansur al-Hallaj".
