This is obviously directed at a person who is disingenuous, manipulative and full of themselves - but the narrator sees right through this BS, presumably after being in a painful relationship together.

I agree, More specifically someone with BPD or Narcissistic personality disorder. I love the song solely on rhythm, tone and vibe level.
