I love this song. I think it sings first about a little girl with a hard life at home who ended up dying tragically. Next it talks about 9/11 and a Christian man with a wife and kids on one of the flights that crashed into one of the towers or was headed for the Pentagram. The terrorists (three guys) walk down the aisle of the plane and say "We're here to die for our God," and the Christian man stands to say, "...my God died for me," When the chorus says "didn't she/he/they call you? Didn't they need you bad enough?... Where were you? Where were you? Didn't they pray too?" she's asking God why he would let those things happen to people who prayed for his help. In the end, she says she still wears a cross everyday and believes, even if she does wonder why.
