"Will you still call me a year then after Share in the same cynical laughter At the thought of fence riding in fairweather, yeah"

This is a reference to friend or a girl who was in a relationship with the singer, It's talking about fair-weather friend. A friend (or a romantic interest) who is only around when they need you.

"Will you be the judge who judges all the judges And hold a grudge like there was something between us"

This is talking about being judged a lot by this person. "the judge who judges all the judges"By the sounds of this statement person judges a lot of people.

"So tell me that you hate me And you never really needed me" "Tell me that you love me And you'll never ever leave me"

The person who this song is about is giving off conflicting signals.

"Make up your mind Make up my mind"

The singer is irradiated that this this person is being friendly and hostile and he wishes that his friend or romantic interest will make up her/his mind so that he can make up his mind as well so he can now where he stand with that person.

I do believe though this song is about a girl though the singer knows and she is sending mixed signals to him. I'll explain why I think it's about a girl.

"Will you still call me a year then after Share in the same cynical laughter" Sounds like it's about a girl he used to have fun with,

"you'll find those long night somewhere else" This could be a reference to living with a girl or a friend he used to hang out with late into the night, but I doubt it.

"Cause every word that passes those lips is another night spent on on a sinking ship" To me this sounds like a relationship with a girl that is failing.

"Tell me that you love me And you'll never ever leave me" Most guys don't tell other men they love them but this could be just saying love since it contrasts hate. Most guys also don't tell other guys don't ever leave me, however it could be just talking about loyalty.

He calls the person in the song "Baby Blue" Baby blue is color that is used for male babies, so it may be about a dude but I think he just said Baby Blue because he was comparing that person to a baby

My Interpretation

Sorry for the grammar errors, also when I said... "I said It's talking about fair-weather friend. A friend (or a romantic interest) who is only around when they need you."

What I mean is a fair-weather friend or a fair-weather girl friend.

A fair-weather girl friend (or fair-weather boyfriend) is someone who is only with someone else for their money, popularity, or good reputation. They dump the person as soon as things start looking bad for the person.
