When I first heard this song, I imagined cupid trying to make himself/herself fall in love. 'You threw them away' referring to them not liking the people they thought they fell in love with.
The narrator; deeply in love with the subject, felt like they had to be there whenever he/she fell into a black hole. They were the only person they could rely on. From the lyrics, I feel that they know the narrator is in love with them, and in a way is in fact using them to pick themselves back up.
The lyrics express hurt alongside a deep need of companionship on both sides.
'Please don't go, I want you so. I can't let go, for I lose control.'
We can all relate to this song; whether a lover, a family member or friend.
