I haven't thought much about what this song meant. Does anyone know if Layne wrote this? I must say, Mark Lanegan sounds amazing singing this, but I wish it would have been recorded with Layne Staley.
This is definitely Mark Lanegan's writing style, if you ask me I would probably say Mark wrote the 3 new songs in the deluxe edition of Mad Season.
Layne did write a lot of great stuff, and you probably know that in Alice In Chains Jerry Cantrell also wrote many good songs.
If you enjoyed Mark you should try some of he's music;
Isobel Campbell & Mark Lanegan, Soulsavers, Screaming Trees and he's solo albums - not everything is good (at least thats what I think) but theres some very good songs, like Watchpocket Blues by Screaming Trees, and Metamphetamine blues by himself....
