Before playing this song in the encore during the winter 2012 tour @ Barclays, Dave said this is a song you sing to your children and that it was his daughter's favorite song on the album. I instantly knew they were going to play Drunken Soldier because that's exactly what the song always meant to me. I had been playing this song to my daughter on a weekly basis since AFTW was released. We love to jam out to it in the car. Simple message with that nostalgic Pink Floyd vibe...brilliant.
