after reading other ppls opinions here, I kinda changed what I thought this song is about.
I always thought it was about a soldier coming back form (the vietnam?) war. you know, how all the abuses amercan soldiers saw/perpetrated themselves while in the battlefield, how they killed, slain, ripped and torn 'the enemy', fairly just regular people, arguably some of them not even fighting back, how they raped women and 'rob all of what they could take in'... and then came back form that 'living hell', to find their country turned its back on them and gave them nothing, and now they are on drugs and only have sex with whores, out the back of an ally... and they're broken, abandoned and torned, people need to think about what happens with human beings when they're at war and how that affects you, some of those men will never be the same. that's how I see it.
