For me, this song represents a particular kind of experience I have had. A particular kind of attraction that feels too intense toward someone I just met, haven't spent a lot of time with., haven't done a lot of conversing with, haven't done all of the standard things that people do when they are getting to know one another/dating.
Yet this person enters the room and my chest explodes. I don't understand why I feel this way. On what basis? She asks why? "Why do you leave me wanting more" and "do i know you from somewhere"? this has an eerie, spiritual connotation. Suggesting I may know you from a past life.
The intensity of such an experience seems too much for the real, practical world. Hence she says "I'm not like this all the time."
