I don't have anyone special in my actual life at this time, but this is a great song and it goes out to anyone who has ever loved me. You have put up with my big mouth, my big attitude, my temper, my frustration (that turns into anger), my sadness, my arrogance, my ineptitude to handle every situation the way it should have been handled, etc. I am no prize and I don't forsee anyone special in my life due to the choices of others, but I am nevertheless thankful to those who have loved me for me.

We do not choose who enters our lives, but we do choose who stays (up to a point anyway). And we sometimes do not understand why we become attracted to others, why we fall for some and not others, and why God ever intended love to develop between people. Sometimes we just have to have faith that He knew what he was doing, and just maybe it was to put two different people together to complement the other where each has shortcomings.

Some of us have lived the lives of the Philistines while others have led the lives of Judas, and both extremes are not what is best for us. So God tosses us a curve ball and we either accept that He knew what he was doing or we run from what may be fate. Not every relationship works out, and some don't really get a chance to begin, but the good memories remain with us. Sometimes just the memory of the sound of a nervous laugh or the amazing intellect brings us joy forever.

I love this song from this woman who really didn't produce much else that made her popular...it is upbeat and joyful, the way love is supposed to be...the way love can be between those who try to see the best in each other even though they ofter faulter the way humans beings do.

So to anyone who has ever loved me, this is for you. You must be incredibly special to have feelings for someone like I who lacks so much in so many ways, but whose heart has great difficulty forgetting those who have touched it and made the soul sing. Thank you.
