I'm not sure what "remember the empire", "remember your home", or "tear the king from the throne" mean, but the song seems to be about standing up for what you believe in and protecting your freedoms.
Hello there. You are quite right, but it goes deeper than that still. House of Heroes is a band made up of passionate Christians. "Remember the empire" and "remember your home" refer to heaven -- Christians believe that if our lives are given to Jesus, Heaven becomes our home, and that our lives on earth are temporary parts of it all. "Tear the king from the throne", while including the devil (Satan), means tearing the power away from anything that would have Christians again enslaved in the world.

Let me explain: Christians believe not...
Let me explain: Christians believe not only in God, but that Jesus was God Himself, come to the earth in the form of a man, so that He could be killable, and die for our sins. When He did this, the price of sin was paid, and we could all approach Him and live life with Him. Perfection had to die for imperfection so that the price would be paid in full. At Christmastime, we hear carols saying "peace on earth, ,good will to men" meaning Jesus came to let the earth know that God isn't wanting to destroy men, He wishes to save them, and came to do just that.
We Americans read bibles in English, but it wasn't written in English. It was written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Often there are words in these languages that don't have straightforward translations in English. (That's why there are so many bible translations -- they compliment each other, help present another piece of the picture so we can put them together and understand). When Jesus said, at the beginning of His ministry "the Kingdom of Heaven is near" (Matthew 3 & 4, for example) the literal translation is that Heaven is invading earth.
This song is a fight song -- to rally Christians to remember that we are not to forget about our true citizenship in Heaven, and the mission Christ commands us to. Jesus commanded Christians to spread the good news that God wants to save us all from the things that enslave us: fear, anger, exhaustion, unforgiveness, hate. He also told us to do the miracles He did -- physical miracles of healing and more. This song is a reminder that we can't get lazy, for people need to know how much God loves them. In 2 Peter 3 (Peter's 2nd letter to the Church at large) he explains that God wants everyone to be saved.
