It's a song when after you listen to it you just shrug and say "enjoy her." After all this time what does one expect to hear. It's a song about one night stands, and having them because we gave up on ourselves long ago. We'll take temporary over the possiblity of failure. We want the high, have begun to rely on the down, and find some odd thrill in that. When we settle for the same time and time again but expect different results, we are fools. But some of us tell ourselves we are content playing the fool...that that role is freeing. What is freeing is risk and reward. What is freeing is love vs lust (although true love usually involves the element of lust...it must if the relationship is to last). What's freeing is at least acknowleding why we do what we do...why we must have (for example) beauty, youth, many partners, excessive alcohol and drugs, etc in our lives. Honesty is the most freeing of all. Then if we consciously choose to have those things than so be it. The rest of the world can take a flying f*ck. I tend to do just that.
