Its absolutely about abuse, and the worst type. Just look at the words:

Sorry, but this has nothing to do with a cheating relationship.. everything about these words scream of the unforgivable crime of molestation. And kudos to the band for putting something unspeakable into words that forces us all to see reality

I know this is a little late in the game, but I always hoped I was wrong about this song being about child abuse. I was afraid to look into it because of something else long suspected. Btw, Sebastian Bierk should be credited as one of the writers... It's one of the reasons, if not the only one, Rachel Bolan doesn't care for this song-- Baz wrote the lyrics. Same reason Bolan claims Wasted Time was "... the worst piece of crap we ever did". Idk where Bolan writes from, but Sebastian writes from life. I know one brother at...

I know one brother at least got lost into heavy drugs, hence Wasted Time. And as much as Baz talks about family-- and he clearly idolized his father, etc-- I always wondered why his temper was so off the charts. Then along comes IADR. Hmm... My heart goes out to anyone who has had to suffer through that horrifying and evil betrayal of trust. I think we all know what we'd like to do to people that vile, so I'll stop here before I end up on a watch-list or something!
