I first heard this song on NPR circa 2002. It was one of my first driveway moments. I thought to myself, RL Burnside experienced this when he was a young man, it is now 2002 and Chicago is still the same killing field.
Now, some 11 years later, Chicago is still the same. So yeah, they been doin it there a long time. As I am writing this, I just had an epiphany; we are living in Omelas.
