Am missing one word in the lyrics ( ____ ) so please add it if you're able. Tracie's album was my favorite college album. I believe I wore the grooves off it. This was not my favorite song, but none of the album's lyrics are online, and only two of her songs are available via Youtube. Regular U.S. radio stations were not playing her music in the 80's, but this particular album (her only album) was HOT on the gay bar scene, which is where ALL the good dance music could be found at that time period. That's where Tracie got a lot of play. This is a song with connections to the bible and also a very old children's book/rhyme. It varies from Ms. Franklin's version and Metallica's, along with a couple of other artists. The song is self-explanatory, and obviously very 80's...before it became fashionable to not believe in God or His teachings.
