I think she's remembering an impossible love affair, and just wants to be free of the memories so she can move on. "why live life from dream to dream and dread the day that dreaming ends." This is one of my Husbands "memory songs" I discovered a whole load of these "miss you" songs a while back. He had an affair with someone he fell madly in love with, but because they were both married, it couldn't carry on, and now all he has left are these songs............ Oh, and me, the booby prize!!!!
