Another of Burl's. For those of us who grew up with the famous movie (which I watched again this year), nobody will ever be able to fill Burl's shoes when it comes to this cherished Christmas favorite. The song itself shares such important lessons about love, acceptance, friendship, loyalty, courage, and even bullying.

Before a Scrooge or Grinch comments, Burl did NOT write this song. He was also not the first to perform it. Burl sang it in 1964. (His is the voice in the movie.) Gene Autry, I believe, had the original score.
