However, I think they overdo the humor in the song but I think it's done for a purpose because there are a lot of sad lines in the song that you kind of breeze over because of the tone. So not only is he saying that he doesn't want to admit he got dumped but also, he's really hurting over it but is trying to cover his hurt with humor. At least that's how I see it.
