Then she bonded with a non-believer whom she converted.
After a time, for whatever reason, she no longer desired to adhere to the doctrine she was once faithful to.
Her companion however, is now more devoted to the religion than to her. Her companion decides to walk away from the relationship and disappoints her.
I think she is especially disappointed because, although her companion believes everything she taught them, they do nothing to save her in return.
