This is a beautiful song. A lot of people are very critical of Younger Brother's change in style, for being more poppy or mainstream than their previous works, but I find this album very admirable as a lyrical endeavor. It's evident they were really trying to reach people with the words on these.
Originally I felt this song to be a lot about the great mysteries surrounding spirituality, if not hinting at notions of a god, spirit guide, or some inexplicable encounter any of us might experience in our lives. Coming here and reading the lyrics, I find them only more puzzling, but beautiful nonetheless. <3
