I think this song is about insecurities taking control of you, and trying to be someone you aren't so you'll be accepted by other people. But individuality is what makes you special, and once you understand this then you'll be able to 'soar'.
This is definitely another one of my inspiration songs off of the Stripped album, along with Beautiful. It's almost creepy how much I can relate to this album.
