I really hope that this song is about Adam Young (Owl City). I know that he still has feelings for her, and as a huge fan of them both I would love this to be her second song about him. Enchanted was so perfect and his reply just made it so much better. Some general hints to why I think it may be about him;
"I bet this time of night you’re still up" - possible hint to Adam's self-confessed insomnia? Taylor is obviously staying up late at night thinking about him.
"I bet you’re sitting in your chair by the window, looking out at the city" - sitting by the window looking out always sounds like something Adam would do, he's a very thoughtful individual and this comes across in his songs. Also maybe just me wishing too hard, but the way she sings "out at the city" almost sounds like Owl City maybe I don't know.
"I bet you think I either moved on or hate you
‘Cause each time you reach out there’s no reply" - Adam never received a reply to his Valentine's day gift of the cover of Enchanted "I never heard back from Taylor but I'm sure she's busy." and I'm sure somewhere he said she stopped replying to his e-mails as well.

It’s probably better off this way" - There's one interview when asked why Adam and Taylor stopped speaking he said "I don't know. I think I'm not the most romantic and eloquent guy in the world. The clue in Taylor's album booklet was "Wrote this instead of calling" - Adam has often admitted that he's so shy that he finds telephone calls awkward or uncomfortable so that may be pointing to that, on Adam's blog regarding his reply to Enchanted he chose to record her song rather than call her.
