Stalemate

This song is about being stuck in a situation without having the ability to ACT out of it. That's why stalement in chess it means a position where one cannot move. "When do I jump out of the cake". When will he take the risk "When do we admit it's a fake". It means he's not OK in that situation, he's probably stuck in a situation he is confortable in but not what he/she really wants. "I'm the nervous watcher". He watches and does nothing more. "Time to turn it on, but I turn it off". He know he must act, but cannot do it. "It's not safe in a jail" he feels trapped in that situation. "It's not safe in a safe". He's living in his comfort zone but dares not to fully live life and take his chances. It's not safe to live like this because he is not being true to himself. " I don't know how it can last I don't know why it doesn't crash". He can keep on lying to himself and live that kind of life for a long time and it's never gonna crash unless he does something.

It's my interpretation of the song anyway. It's a beautiful song
