I think this song is about starting a new life at a compeltely different place. It can also be the start of a new era and the fact that things have to be given up in order to commence something new. Although this might be sad at times, but I love how the melody goes with the song and suggests that the positive facts and opportunities have to be taken into consideratoion rater than the bad things in life.
