So I've listened to this song alot because it describes my relationship really well because it's a really sad story.... and what I take from it is this: the part where he says the girl has only brought him pain kinda makes me think how my girl loves me and doesn't realize the pain she can cause me, and I can feel trapped because I can't live with her, but I can't live without her.... Also, in the chorus, it says how he wants to lift her clouds away. My girlfriend had something very very evil happen to her before... and it haunts us both, and I kinda feel like I'm supposed to help this girl out and love her and by doing that, I'll lift her clouds away.... That's my interpretation at least.
