love this song, i couldn't find it for download anywhere so i set up itunes just so i could buy it.
i think this song is about kids in a small country town and perhaps how some of them don't see life outside where they live. and then saying well if thats all there is to their life then they're happy to learn to drive a car...or something like even if you don't get all you wanted out of life at least you got this or that which was good too.
i have lived in and visted isolated small country towns as a child and somehow the days always seemed very long and boring. might not be what he's saying but kinda get that feeling.
