I have to say on the most part I agree with enoramatas interpretation. Though just going through a break up I might be able to add to it. Apart from the first line which I dont understand I think this is about someone who is in love with, and still in love with someone who has been playing with them and wont commit (say what you want but I still feel the same) and is fed up (can no longer slide / run) wants to force an issue by not playing the game anymore and put them on the back foot for once. She is singing about being fed up with it (no longer fun) and 'breaking up' with them to make them realise what they are missing but so fed up and past the point of caring that even if she won she does care - but strongly suggests she'd cave in anayway. thats my 2 pence!
Just to add I think the 1st line is some sort of reference to time running out - maybe basketballl / sporting related so hinted there is a very last short chance to may things right and forgot to say - its a great tune!
