I wouldn't call this a love song... More of a song telling somebody (yourself, your lover, your friend, your family member) that they must change or they'll never be happy. They do not listen, and instead self-destruct. There is an element of guilt, but also liberation... Inspirational song about self-reliance more than a love song imo...
