Maybe because I have Asperger Syndrome myself, but this song comes across as very autistic. It seems to be about someone locked up in his own dream world, not connected very well to the real world, not understanding the other people and vice versa, but not minding too much and enjoying talking to the imaginary friends and drifting away in his dream world. Not sure what the "Sunday Velvet" at the end could refer to.
