"I wish I was a fisherman" I wish I was an apostle.
"My savior is waiting for me" The savior being Jesus.
"I could die any day now,
It’s not either fair or unfair
And I could walk through that tunnel of light
And lead the rest of you there" That could be Jesus talking to the fisherman.
"Say the word and I'll go" I'll do anything for Jesus
I'm not religious at all but this is what comes to mind whenever I listen to this.
