I think it's about a couple(married, probably), with kids, trying to put the spark back into their relationship. At first glance, I actually thought it was about her cheating, but judging by the lyrics, I don't think so.
"I got a bottle of wine
Some stolen time
Key to a room where you can be all mine"
Getting some romance in, maybe in a hotel room, because their lives are so busy they barely have time for each other.
"Keeping the spark going is an everyday fight
So I sent the kids to your mama
And baby, we got all night"
Grandma babysitting so the parents can get some sexy time xD I'm not married, but I can imagine after years of marriage, kids, jobs, and hectic schedules, it can be hard to have time for each other. And between being tired, juggling bills, working, taking care of kids, and growing older, it's probably hard to keep the spark going.
My closest experience with cheating was falling in love with my fiance. Was in a relationship at the time, and before I broke up with my ex, it felt like cheating, thinking about someone else. I'm guessing actual cheating feels exciting/dangerous. Just read a book where the main character cheats on her husband, and there is an addiction, trying to get close to the man, and a sense of fulfillment getting what she wants. Anyway, I'm guessing that's the feeling she means by "feels like cheating." A total sense of abandonment for responsibilities, a need to have the other person, and "making promises life won't let us keep."
