I'm guessing Fallon pulled the line from Springsteen's song, though, since he's a Jersey guy. He probably knew the history of it though. Sometimes I think he uses too many allusions and he's just piecing together other songs into one. Still love it though. And when you hear it, and know where it's from, it's like you're in the know. This song just spells Rock N' Roll to me. It's like "Hey we're not hear to bemoan our celebrity, break guitars, ruin dressing rooms, we came to dance and have a good time." If that's not your bag, there's the door. THE GLA to me is just a good band bringing back rock for Rock's sake. Rock and roll, to me, is only meant to be rock and roll. Fun, loud, and a party. Not drugs, destruction and anger. Maybe angst, or justified indignation, but not screaming.
