The Sounds Of Science is a brilliant song. It has one of those little toys that you turn over & it sounds kinda like a cow saying "moooooooooo." It's mixed with a sample of When I'm Sixty Four by The Beatles. Then, the change comes in with a quick Ad Rock Interlude that parallels The New Style from Licensed To Ill with a sample of the background from Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, plus a soundbite of KRS-ONE. The second part of the song is constructed from 2 or 3 songs by The Beatles. It has the beat from Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, A snippet of a drum break from The End & guitar samples from The End & another song That I can't remember. And, of course, "I do not sniff the coke I only smoke the sinsemilla" comes from Don't Sniff Coke by Pato Banton from the album Never Give In. You can tell a lot of work went into The Sounds Of Science. Definitely one of my all-time favorite Beastie tracks.
