I heard this song three days ago now, and it quickly took the spot in my heart of my favorite song. It's just a genuinely fun, beautiful tale of a man who wants to have a good time with somebody else, and if that's the last night they'll get to have fun on, it'll be just fine, and there's nothing left to do but blow one last kiss to the past, and move along with nothing but fond memories.
Another fantastic line would be "If I'm not your type, then don't tell a soul." It's part of his plans to get everybody around him to get in on the fun, and not care if they wouldn't make a good pair in the long run. Even if that happens, they can still have a smashing time.
I don't know why, but whenever I hear this song, I imagine a sort of outdoor seating restaurant, bar, or cafe with a brick dance floor outside. A waist-high white metal fence surrounds the seating area, and anybody can get in if they want, even if they aren't getting anything. A small local band is playing, sometimes just improvising, making some fun music anybody can enjoy, but once everybody gets up dancing, having a great time, they always fall back to "a song that everybody knows."
