AMAZING SONG! I recently went through a tough breakup and played this song over and over again. I'd sing "Oh Father, give me grace to forgive them, cause I feel like the one losing" (but replaced them with him) and as bizarre as it sounds, it really just gave me hope. I could choose to be bitter or realize that God has someone better!<3
It's not that God has someone better, you're missing the point. Did Jesus do what he did on the cross in hope of finding someone better than you? Why did he embrace his cross? "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." --Jesus Christ

God did not come in the flesh to remove pain, He came to transform its meaning. "If you only love those who love you... what reward is there in that?" -- Jesus Christ.
