This song is stunning - especially the chorus when it builds a way through. I agree with philfs that it could very well be about an actual woman. However my initial impression is that it's about heroin. If you go through the lyrics with that in mind it actually makes a lot of sense.
But either way, it's definitely about something beautiful, but entirely destructive - a huge theme of theirs and highlighted in this album.
