I could easily be wrong..but from what i gather i think this song is about a relationship. It seems like she keeps trying to do things right in a relationship, but all the other half of the relationship sees is someone who keeps making mistakes and fucking up. It's as if she doesn't understand why hes even the slightest bit satisfied with her when hes always complaining about how "evil" and "bad" she is.

It's as if she is always on edge with him. Always ready to defend herself because hes always putting her in..i should say.. the "dog house" but whenever she does he tells her to stop. And she listens...which makes this relationship even more exhausting and confusing.
