I think he's sorta talking about a woman figure, as he starts saying
"The day they covered us in the dirt
like stars in the ground
that will grow into dead flowers"
so as we know from the bible the woman came out from the dust, dirt, that in this case would grow in to death flowers, so I think his saying this woman is cold and her touch is empty, so he would run away from her because she's bloodless and he's scare for being dumped or something...
maybe reading "the flowers of evil" from Baudelaire, would give as a total different lecture o not so different, in fact I'm going to read it soon ! :)
