I respectly disagree with you all guys. I don't know about your countries, but in mine, we say "Judas" to someone who is actually betraying you but when you are around he or she acts kindly to you. Therefore when "Judas" is greeting you, you say "The Kiss of Judas" (In may nation we use to greet girls with a kiss on one cheek). To me the song does not refer to the biblic Judas, instead it's about a boy or girl who's remembering or trying to something on his/her past, kind of sexual or violent abuse from his/her parents. Let me explain my point: The footsteps coming, from my early days.. back on his/her childhood; "Approaching vision of things I can't recall" Come on! Jesus can't recall when Judas betrayed him? it must be the already grown up child having a vague idea about what happened. The silver coins and candles are not very situable to my explanation but are not definitive tips or keys to say it was about the real Jesus. What do you say guys? I've posted to show my point of view, ket me have your responses

I guess, the word "Judas" is a synonym to the "hypocrite" in your country. Actually it can be used in such a way. However, "the kiss of Judas" is an internetional idiom and it does originate from the Holy Bible. The lyrics contain too many biblical symbols to bear no reference to the story about Jesus.

The only thing I don't like about this song is that it is pretended to be written on behalf of Jesus Christ. But the music is really astonishing!
