I'm not entirely sure, but I got the feel that this was about being in love or in a relationship with someone who's "perfect" or seems perfect. She sympathizes with him because she knows what it's like to be placed on a pedestal, but it's also hard for her to be with someone who's so flawless. Either way, she sticks by him.
