I do not know how this song doesnt have more comments lol. but heres what i think. it talks about someone helping someone else out. However, it is different from one person simply helping another person. Its about a single being helping themselves out. The character speaking is the "voice in the back of the head" so you say. Or perhaps just a different side of a person that is trying to help the other side out or the whole being in general. Not sure who wrote these but they wrote it as if the one side is speaking and guiding the other side of the person to a better state of mind, life, health, etc.
