For example, imagine this is a love song sung by God to the entirety of humanity. I don't care if you are a Christian, atheist, Buddhist, etc. just do it as a thought exercise. Start reading the lyrics and imagine God does exist, and he's just like anyone else in a relationship with another entity that has free will, etc.

I hear this as a message from Jesus, however he is not just like anyone else in a relationship, imagine he knows you better than you know yourself, and he is trying to save you. I am a Christian and this song gave me chills, because of how accurately I believe it depicts how Jesus feels towards unbelievers.

One of the things that it speaks to is the idea of going out on a limb to live life, to take risks - and that by doing so, we actually have the opportunity to increase not only the love we receive, but our own capacity to give love. I'm glad you commented on this song, because it's been a while since I've thought of it and it's really so beautiful. :)
